MAPS.ME: Offline Maps, GPS Nav App Reviews

We love using this app, especially as it can be used offline. It helped us immensely on a trip in Scotland.

I wish I would have found out about this app a long time ago. Its perfect, wether your on foot, or by car, you will never get lost, (so long as your battery doesnt run out!). Awesome maps that use absolutely no data, work purely on GPS navigation using your GPS location from your phone. The maps are incredibly detailed, and precise! The location accuracy was absolutely astonishing! Literally tracks your position by the meter! The map also has a feature that will help you find nearby Wi-Fi spots. It also features points of interest on the map such as viewpoints, monuments and drinking fountains. Get this app, you wont regret it!

I used this app on my around the world trip. Great for finding hostels, bars, and clubs.

Pros: ~ Works offline (No Data/Wifi) ~ Has a ton of pre located/installed places on the map and you can easily add more Cons: Not super detailed Uses up loads of battery Sometimes a little off Can get a little "funky"

Great for off line navigation. No data usage while traveling.

Although lots of Apples programs need the permission of usage of location "while using the program"; this program gets the permission "always" even you dont use it. It must be fixed.

Stop updating this app!!! Dont do it, lewicy it alone, is enough. Every time i wanna drive somewher itd updating and Dont working. I cant rely on it.

Very reliable in offline mode. Finds bus stations and all sort of places. Can even show you a shortcut using the park or forest paths :) very handy

Its great to have offline maps with yourself.

Great app. Great maps. Nice 3d view. One thing to make this app ideal is that authors made better view for zoomed out views. Currently when zooming out- the map looks weak- just the highways. Which is often not enough to properly read and navigate throug the map Cheers Piotr
